Relic Hunt Begins in the Streets of Munich

The Signals in the Streets of Munich – How the Hunt Begins

What if your city could play host to a hidden quest? What if the everyday sidewalk, bench or street sign becomes the starting point for something a little extraordinary?

That’s the idea behind Foundryon’s latest hunt in Munich and Landshut. Across these familiar places lie little tokens, objects that look simple, even mundane at first glance, but each one opens up access to something much bigger.

What is a Drop?

A drop is the placement of a token or relic in a real-life location in the city. These are intentionally hidden in plain sight: under a park bench, beneath a street sign, stuck onto a window pillar. Many people walk right past them, not noticing.
Then you find one.

How does a Token look?

Our typical Foundryon Token comes in the shape of a small seashell (or one of our custom steel discs), tagged with an access code on paper. That code unlocks features in the Foundryon Online Console. If you’re alert, you’ll spot them quicker than you think.

How to join the hunt

  1. Spot the token – Keep your eyes open around benches, lampposts, window sills and other ordinary fixtures.

  2. Claim it – Take a photo of the token and upload it either to the subreddit r/foundryon or directly on foundryon.com. The earlier you claim it, the better — you secure the Level-1 bonus.

  3. Check the map – Head to the Hunt section in the Foundryon Console where you’ll find an interactive live map showing all active drops. Use it to plan your route and explore new neighbourhoods.

  4. Explore & collect – Tokens lead to relics, which feed into the growing archive of Foundryon. The game connects the city, the hunt, and the online world in one playful arc.

Why it matters

This isn’t just a scavenger hunt. It’s a way to reimagine your city as a playground of discovery. Teens with phones in hand, families out for a weekend wander, everyone can join in.
The interplay of the physical (the token) and the digital (the Console) brings something fresh to urban roaming. It’s about curiosity, community and the thrill of unlocking something unexpected.

A little Foundryon flavour

Yes, there’s a story here. In the Foundryon lore, a lost exoplanet once forged life in steel and air, and those signals are now echoing through our infrastructure. But you don’t need to know that to play. The core of the experience remains simple: find the object, unlock the code, explore the map, collect your reward.
If the story draws you in - great. If not, you’re still chasing discovery in your city, camera ready.

Grab your phone. Step outside. Take a look around with fresh eyes.
You’ll be surprised what you might find — and where it might lead.
