Tabletop Sci-fi Object Docking Station – Desktop accessories holder.
Crafted from durable stainless steel and finished in a matte black coating, this minimalist object blends form and function with industrial precision. Use it to hold your phone, keys, wallet, or even a curious mineral specimen. Whether placed on a work desk, entryway console, or bedside table, it brings a grounded yet otherworldly energy to your environment.
Word of the designer.
This piece was born during a cold February weekend when I noticed how random objects—meteorites, screws, coins—tend to gather into small ‘impact sites’ on my desk. So I designed the Crater Dock as a kind of artificial depression—a void meant to attract the clutter and give it purpose.
The steel parts are laser-cut from 2mm sheet, bent into shallow dimensions and fit together with friction and gravity alone. No screws. No adhesives. Just clean weight and geometry. Built in my workshop and named after its lunar-sounding shape, this is my version of a black monolith… if it had a tray function.
It’s solid, subtle, and weirdly comforting. I've made a few variations—some wide, others tall, and one shaped like a Möbius loop. But this is the classic.
Bold, low-profile steel tray with sculptural flair for your daily essentials.
Dimensions (WxDxH): 18×14×12 cm
Material: Stainless steel
Weight: 140g Netto, Shipping 1000g
